This short video shows Baby Bird’s head tic pretty well. Even though she (?) is very mobility challenged and possibly vision impaired, she manages pretty well with some simple accommodations in her cage setup. She is very sweet (at least thus far) and is very smart and quick to figure things out. She’s also very quiet (at least thus far) for a conure. Please donate towards Baby Bird’s veterinary care if you can. ● PayPal to avianunderdogs@sbcglobal.net ● Venmo: @AvianUnderdogs (6696 is the last 4 digits of our phone #) ● Zelle: 949-584-6696 or avianunderdogs@sbcglobal.net

More of your donation dollars at work this week! It’s Baby Bird! She (?) also saw our avian veterinarian on Tuesday. We weren’t able to accomplish the diagnostic work we were hoping to because the doctor felt Baby Bird wasn’t strong/stable enough to risk sedation for radiographs and a blood draw. She will be going back in two weeks to be reassessed. Hopefully, we can get the diagnostic tests done then. The exam was informative and helpful, though. Not the greatest of news, but not the worst either. * Underweight at 54 grams. If you have a GCC, please comment with the age and weight of your bird. * Cataracts in both eyes but isn’t totally blind * No fracture palpated in left wing but definitely has a left wing injury * General weakness on the left side of the body * Definite head tic * Placed on metacam ● PayPal to avianunderdogs@sbcglobal.net ● Venmo: @AvianUnderdogs (6696 is the last 4 digits of our phone #) ● Zelle: 949-584-6696 or avianunderdogs@sbcglobal.net
